Tax Refund Desk is an independent publication. We write practical guides that answer one question at a time, check every figure against official sources, and link to those sources at the end of each page.

The site currently covers 11 topics and 1 guides. Readers can also ask questions, answer each other and publish their own posts in our community section, which we moderate for spam and scams.

What we are not

We are not the IRS, we are not part of any government, and we are not affiliated with any tax software company or tax preparation firm. We cannot see your account, check a payment or act on your behalf. Our guides are general information, not personal tax, legal or financial advice.

How we make money

The site is free to read. It is paid for by advertising. Advertisers never see our drafts, never choose our topics and cannot pay to change what a guide says.
